Do You ever feel like time gets away on You?  I do.

Especially when I look at my little ones and see how very fast they grow.  Or my sister calls and updates me on what my nieces are up to. Their interests change when they get older, yet, I think even older children still enjoy spending quality time with the ones who have raised them.  More than ever with everything children are navigating they are served by time with us.  Their parents, the ones that are able to support and give direction.

If only for today, take a look at what You are required to do and what is priority.  Is there anything You can let go of, delegate or reschedule so that You can just sit down and play with Your kids?  

Someone once told me, ‘50 years from now no one will care how clean Your house was or how organized Your office was, but Your children will remember the time You spent playing with them’.

Try it and see if it also serves You to play a little more : )

I’ve been watching Super Nanny lately.  Every show I am reminded how powerful the concept of ‘firm and fair’ can be.  The last episode I watched, focused on the parents almost exclusively and their version of parenting or ‘not’ parenting in this case.  

Just because we have children and can call ourselves parents it does not mean that we have actual training on how to raise children.  I believe that the most important thing we can do, is take an ongoing honest inventory of ourselves and be willing to do the work that allows us to be intentional about the parenting we do.  So many parents I know look after their needs and personal growth after everyone else is looked after.  I find this contraindicative of parenting with more love and less struggle.  

After all the concept of applying Your own oxygen mask first when in an emergency when flying has its merits.  If You are unconscious how might You be able to serve anyone else with awareness.

 Welcome to my new blog! 

I have been present online for years in the arena of alternative empowered health and although I would like to discuss health topics here as well my main focus for awhile will be raising empowered children-parenting with more love and less struggle.  

Of course being the feminine being that I am I believe this blog may travel in other directions at the same time, so join me and lets go for a ride.
